I think it is a very cute red hat!! Only a mother would pick apart a sweater to get the perfect shade of red. Claire should do something nice for her mama now. :o)

Such a wonderful colour! You made me smile about unpicking jumpers. My grandparents used to get all their yarn by pulling down old jumpers. I used to be entranced by the slow 'unknitting' of a jumper, the winding, the washing, the drying in the hot sun and seeing the finished balls just waiting to become something else. I used to always hope they would become teddy bears for me! Thank you for the memory jolt.

Such a wonderful colour. I love it. Thank you for the memory jolt. My grandparents used to always but 'unknitting' jumpers so they would have affordable yarn for their own projects. I used to love the slow rhythm of the rows being pulled down and the medative pace of rolling the new balls at the end. I was always hoping that they would be re knitted into toys for me and sometimes they were. Thank you for the memory reminder!

You unraveled a sweater to get the yarn for this lovely hat? I don't think I would have had the patience for that, it's most impressive. Plus ... recycling, very earth-friendly which makes the hat even better I think.

A few days ago an envelope the color of the lovely hat arrived in my mailbox, a delightful surprise. Merci, merci! I think the card inside is even prettier in person than the photos of the cards were on your blog. Merci encore to you and Clara (who I bet looks stunning in her new hat)!

Bisous!!!

What a wonderful little red hat. It's not much how great that you were able to reuse some wool. I am sure it will keep her head very warm.
Have a lovely Monday.
